Jim Underbrink Joins IC2 as a Senior Technical Fellow

IC2 is excited to announce that Jim Underbrink, former Technical Fellow at Boeing, is now a part of our team! Throughout a 35-year career at Boeing, Jim was responsible for a great many advancements in the fields of Dynamic Data Systems and Test Methods Development in the Aerodynamics/Noise/Propulsion Laboratories.

We collaborated with Mr. Underbrink at Boeing for the development of our microphones and he has been directly involved in the core technology development at the University of Florida since 2005. His expertise as an end-user of phased array microphones guided our pathway towards advancements in MEMS microphone technology.

Jim's role here at IC2 will be that of Senior Technical Fellow, where he will continue to guide product development and tactically assist in the reformation of internal processes to promote efficiency. Awarded 13 patents in phased array applications, Mr. Underbrink's extensive knowledge of the needs of our end-user, and his project leadership experience, will lead to greater success within IC2.

Furthermore, Jim Underbrink is the author of the chapter “Aeroacoustic Phased Array Testing in Low Speed Wind Tunnels” in the book “Aeroacoustic Measurements,” published by Springer-Verlag in September 2002. Mr. Underbrink also authored several technical articles, conference papers, and NASA technical memoranda throughout his career.
