IC2 Launches All-New Form Factors for DirectShear™ Sensors

New form factor variants for DirectShear CSUsIC2 has launched two all-new form factors for DirectShear Sensors in response to customer demand.   The Capacitive Sensor Units for DirectShear™ are now available in both a rack-mountable standalone unit and a CompactPCI® module. 

The rack-mountable (2U) standalone units are an enhancement to previous desktop designs, enabling operation on the desktop or installed into a standard equipment rack.  They feature low-noise AC and rechargeable Li-ion battery power sources.

The CompactPCI® modules (3U) offer the same performance as the standalone units, but in a much smaller form factor for installation into a standard CompactPCI® chassis.  The design leverages power supplied by the chassis to reduce overall size and is ideal for those with an existing chassis or wanting to use a large number of DirectShear™ sensors simultaneously.  Further, these modules are available at a lower price point, thanks to the cost-saving design.

Multi-channel units are also available in both form factors.
